Christmas at the Belvidere is a holiday attraction that draws visitors from all over the U.S. Dedicated Rogers County Historical Society members and volunteers from Claremore and surrounding towns meticulously prepare our 1907 Victorian Belvidere Mansion for this yearly, celebratory event that lasts from the beginning of November till the end of the year. During Claremore’s Dickens Days in late November, the Belvidere is open in the evening so guests can experience the magic of hundreds of sparkling lights. This fundraiser is especially important, since it finances much of the budget for operation and restoration projects for the following year.
The Belvidere Mansion gift shop and tearoom are open all year long, but during the holiday season the entire mansion gets a dazzling holiday makeover. Corners are adorned with a kaleidoscope of glowing Christmas trees; fireplace mantels and woodwork are richly festooned with seasonal garlands. Volunteers, who plan and purchase finery throughout the year, spend innumerable hours preparing for the grand opening and “lights on” in early November.
Christmas at the Belvidere is the occasion to create unforgettable holiday memories that will last a lifetime. Bring family and friends to enjoy a delicious lunch in the tearoom, complete holiday shopping at the gift shop, and tour the bedecked mansion, all in one relaxed and historically unique setting. Plus, with every purchase you make, you are helping to preserve this iconic jewel, the Belvidere Mansion, for everyone to enjoy in years to come!
We thank you for your patronage and look forward to seeing you for Christmas at the Belvidere!
